MORGAN SHEPHERD CHARITABLE FUND CELEBRATES 29TH ANNUAL EVENT
Since 1976, Morgan Shepherd has been devoting his time throughout each racing season to raise funds and gather donations to help those less fortunate. Over 29 years, Morgan's efforts has materialized into a federally licensed 501C(3) charitable organization and an outstanding fun-filled event every December in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas. InDecember of 2015, The Morgan Shepherd Charitable Fund celebrated it's 29th anniversary with a breakfast show at The Parc Workshop in Stuart, Virginia. Guests included face painter, a Dinosaur, and ESPN radio Mark Garrow, a the band Embrace Thee Forever among many others. Entertainment included music, dancing, Morgan in his familiar race uniform, in his roller-skates shaking hands and shaking a leg, singing and then signing autographs. The Morgan Shepherd Charitable Fund was very blessed and happy to have raised $15,000 for The Parc Workshop in Stuart, Virginia to assist those who have disabilities. The Parc Workshop teaches these special friends how to take care of themselves in the home and be more independent by doing things we take for granted everyday such as cooking, cleaning, making a bed, and ironing clothes. Each client received gift bags filled with toys, candy and clothing items. "I'm so proud of what we have been able to accomplish over the past 29 years. This is what it's all about, helping others in need. I'm so very blessed to be able to do what I do in NASCAR where it gets very hectic and crazy sometimes, but this puts it all back into perspective. Seeing all those faces with smiles, joy, laughter and singing is awesome. It's just fantastic!" said Morgan. Morgan and the Morgan Shepherd Charitable Fund would like to extend a "thank you" to all those who made our 29th year possible and a big success. If you would like to make a donation or any amount you may do so anytime throughout the year. Go to the website(s) www.morganshepherdcharitablefund.org or www.morganshepherd.com and donate there, but make sure to designate "for charity".
